This great metropolis of 3,285,000 inhabitants (6 million if the citizens of its metropolitan area are also included) boasts an intense cultural and artistic activity. In addition, its nightlife has a universal reputation because, as the saying goes, it is radically true that Madrid never sleeps.

The main tourist attractions of this city bathed by the Manzanares River are located in the interior of the city, mainly in the districts of Centro, Salamanca, Chamberí, Retiro and Arganzuela.

The nerve center of Madrid is the Puerta del Sol, starting point of the numbering of all radial roads in the country.

The two best known routes through its streets are the Route through the Madrid of the Austrias and the Route through the Madrid of the Bourbons. By the way, both tours can be done on board the Tourist Bus.

You can not miss some of the most representative monuments of the city such as the Puerta de Alcalá, the Cibeles Fountain, the Monument to the Bear and the Strawberry Tree located in the Puerta del Sol and, of course, the Plaza Mayor.
